Welcome to the exciting world of Cosplay!

Ever since 1992, the founding year of Anime Expo®, cosplay has been an integral component of Anime Expo®’s colorful fan community. Fans from all walks of life converge at Anime Expo® to show their passion for cosplay. Whether they wear their costumes within the halls of Anime Expo® or appear on stage before family and friends, all cosplayers are here to show off their passion for Japanese animation and culture.

During Anime Expo®:

• Cosplay Events Office & Info Desk will be located in the Los Angeles Convention Center West Hall Rooms 504 & 505.
• The Info Desk, Room 504, will be for Contestant Check Ins, Sign Ups, Music/Audio file submissions and any event updates.
• The Office, Room 505, will be the location for all Mandatory meetings and Masquerade Preliminary Costume Judging.

Cosplay Events Office & Info Desk hours of operation are:

• Thursday July 2nd 12 pm to 5 pm
• Friday July 3rd 10 am to 5 pm
• Saturday July 4th 10 am to 5 pm
• Sunday July 5th 10 am to 12 pm

ALL COSPLAY EVENT UPDATES
All official Cosplay Events related news and updates will ONLY be posted at the Cosplay Events Info Desk during open office hours listed above. If you find any postings outside of the Cosplay Events Info Desk or any postings after hours, please report it to Anime Expo® Access Control immediately.

NEW UPDATED RULES
Please read through the entire sections pertaining to the event you wish to participate. It is the participant’s responsibility to read and understand the rules and guidelines pertaining to the event in question. Violation of Anime Expo® Code of Conduct, Anime Expo® Weapons Policy and/or Anime Expo® Cosplay Events Rules may result in disqualification from all Anime Expo® 2008 Cosplay Events.

REVISED ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM
A revised online registration system has been adopted for Anime Expo® 2008. This applies to Masquerade, Pop Shock Masquerade, Masquerade Ball and Midnight Tea. Any other method of event registration will not be used.

All entries will be prescreened to ensure entries do not violate Anime Expo® Cosplay Events Rules and if we can accommodate any special requests.

Tentative date to open online registration to all cosplay events is 10 am Pacific Time on (TBA).

Mandatory meetings will be held on:

• Pop Shock Masquerade - Thursday - Time: TBA - Location: TBA
• Midnight Tea - Thursday - Time: 6pm - Location: LACC 504
• Masquerade Ball - Friday - Time: TBA - Location: TBA
• Masquerade - Friday - Time: 4pm - Location: LACC 505
