Q. Where can I pick up the Hotel Room Block or Reserved Seating tickets?
A. You can pick up your tickets at the AX Events Ticketing Booth in the West Hall Lobby. The AX Events Ticketing Booth will be open during the following hours:
- Wednesday 7/2 – [4 pm – 8 pm]
- Thursday 7/3 – [9 am – 1 pm, 4 pm – 8 pm]
- Friday 7/4 – [9 am – 1 pm, 4 pm – 8 pm]
- Saturday 7/5 – [9 am – 1 pm, 4 pm – 8 pm]
Q. I have reserved a room in the Anime Expo® Hotel Room Block, what do I need to receive my tickets?
A. You will first need to claim your reservation online through the Registration website, on your individual registration page. When you arrive at Anime Expo® to pick up your badge, you will also be given a hotel reservation voucher. Finally, go to the AX Events Ticketing Booth with the following items: (1) a valid badge, (2) a badge holder, (3) Hotel Reservation voucher and (4) a photo ID.
Q. I have reserved a room in the Anime Expo® Hotel Room Block. Can I pick up tickets for everyone in my room?
A. Each individual in the room will need to claim his or her free ticket separately through the Registration website.
Q. I have purchased a Reserved Seating ticket to X event(s), what do I need to pick up my ticket(s)?
A. You will need the following items: (1) a valid badge, (2) a badge holder, (3) Reserved Seating ticket voucher and (4) a photo ID. The voucher is received at Anime Expo® Registration with your badge and badge holder.
Q. What is the difference between the Hotel Room Block tickets and the Reserved Seating tickets?
A. Hotel Room Block tickets and Reserved Seating tickets are actually similar in that they allow first dibs on floor seating for this year’s ticketed Nokia Theatre events. Reserved Seating tickets are a new option that allows an attendee a chance to bypass the wait for the open distribution. Seats for both Hotel Room Block and Reserved Seating ticket holders will come out of the same pool. Tickets are distributed on a first come, first served basis.
Q. I really want to see X event. Do I have to pay for the Reserved Seating tickets?
A. Purchasing Reserved Seating tickets is simply an alternative for attendees who cannot or do not wish to wait in long lines and is entirely optional. You are under no obligation to purchase Reserved Seating tickets to watch any events. There is an open ticket distribution offered for all ticketed events to attendees who do not book with the Anime Expo® Hotel Room Block or choose not to purchase Reserved Seating tickets.
Q. I did not reserve a room in the Anime Expo® Hotel Room Block or purchase a Reserved Seating Ticket. Can I still get tickets to the various events?
A. Yes. We will be handing out remaining tickets to attendees in the standby line starting 90 minutes before the scheduled event time on the day of the event. Whether you receive a ticket is subject to availability. Exception: Reserved Seating and Hotel Room Block tickets will not be released back into open distribution. Attendees with Reserved Seating or Hotel Room Block tickets have until 15 minutes before the show’s scheduled start time to pick up their tickets at the Box Office.

- Anime Music Video Contest (7/3 – 6:30 pm)
- Jyukai feat. Yoko Ishida (7/4 – 11:30 am)
- AX Idol (7/4 – 6:30 pm)
- Shoko Nakagawa (7/5 – 11:30 am)
- AX Masquerade (7/5 – 6:30 pm)
Q. What are the chances that I will get a ticket at the open distribution for X event after all the Hotel Room Block & Reserved Seating tickets have been passed out?
A. We are allowing for a minimum number of tickets to be reserved for attendees waiting in the standby line, but we cannot make any guarantees as to your chances of receiving a ticket.
Q. I’m not part of the Anime Expo® Hotel Room Block and I haven’t purchased a Reserved Seating ticket. Will I be able to get a floor seat?
A. It is possible that Orchestra level seating will be available during the open ticket distribution given the size of the venue this year. The number available will be dependent on the number of Hotel Room Block tickets claimed and the Reserved Seating tickets purchased for each individual event. Anime Expo® can not guarantee to release any set number of Reserved Seating tickets for any event.
Q. How many tickets can I get if I wait in line for the open distribution on the day of the event?
A. We will be giving out tickets 2 per attendee until we run out. Waiting in line does not automatically guarantee you a ticket.
Q. Will the seats be assigned?
A. All the seats on the orchestra level will be numbered for our 2 concerts and the Masquerade. The loge level will be open to general admission seating (subject to change). The Mezanine level will be closed for all Anime Expo events. We ask for cooperation from our attendees to fill in all open gaps on the upper levels to accommodate as many people at possible.
Q. Can my friends and I sit together at the events?
A. If you pick up your tickets from the AX Events Ticketing Booth at the same time or wait together during the open distribution, you have a greater chance of obtaining seats next to each other.
Q. I lost my ticket/my ticket was stolen, is there anything I can do?
A. Unfortunately Anime Expo® is not responsible for any tickets once the ticket has changed hands and the attendee has left the AX Events Ticketing Booth.
